Day 35 – PSG / Guingamp

Day 35 of League 1, PSG hosted Antoine Kombouaré’s team, Guingamp.

Unai Emery decided to align the following team on 4-4-3 organization:

starting team

The first half, we see a shadow of PSG. No envy, no fight… a shame for the fans in the stadium. Guingamp took his chance and scored a beautiful goal from L. Blas to take the lead 1-0.

PSG had to react and show a better face.

Second Half, PSG showed a better side. Unai Emery made a quick change, Pastore in, and Draxler out. But Guingamp’s team believed in its chance an kept pushing on Areola’s net.

A second goal by Jimmy Briand, former player of Olympique Lyonnais.

Heads down for PSG’s players and fans.

On the 65th minute, Unai Emery decides to make two turn over. Nkunku in and Motta out. Meunier in and Di Maria out (who seemed annoyed to come out)

PSG seemed to show a different state of mind. After a quick rush by Lo Celso, he obtained a penalty kick at the 75th minute. Cavani scored and became the best PSG goal scorer ever.

PSG still believed in its chance, and made it happened with a second goal from Cavani at the 82nd minute.

The referee whistled the end of the game.

I didn’t like: PSG players’ attitude in the first half.

I liked: PSG reaction in second half. The show of both teams at the end of the game.
