Thiago Motta Farewell

Thiago Motta said goodbye tonight to the Parc des Princes. A moment of emotion for the 35-year-old who will become PSG’s under 19 coach next season.

Before starting the festivities to celebrate the Ligue 1 title, PSG broadcast on its screens a clip paying tribute to his 35 yo midfield player, in which we see Ronaldinho, Gigi Buffon, Ibrahimovic or Kylian Mbappe send a message to the Italian. Sublime. And what about Motta’s tears when he sees these images …

“It’s good, it was the moment, I just want to thank the people who came. I want to thank PSG fans for their support all these years. Thank you to my teammates, coaches, a big thank you to the President for giving me the opportunity to play for PSG, and continue with the club. I am a happy man today. I’m proud of what we did together. We have created a beautiful story at PSG. It will be realized in the future. It was unforgettable. A little death? It’s normal … we spent all our life in football. I started at the age of 4, the emotion is normal. We must think about the future. U19 PSG. Frankly, it’s something interesting, exciting. I like football”.

Thank you Thiago.
